Ended May 19, 2022
Full course description
Brief Description of the session: Dr. Jael McCants will facilitate a virtual interactive webinar with live synchronous interaction on diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), focusing on implicit bias in healthcare and the ways our identities matter in health care. This interactive webinar will provide the learner with an entry point to engage in conversations about race, gender, sexuality, and other aspects of social identity. Through the sharing of stories and experiences, this training aims to create a safe space for health care providers to learn to better communicate across our differences, as this work is imperative to our ability to effectively serve society.
This 2-hour webinar that permits live synchronous interaction will fulfill the Implicit Bias Training requirement established by the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs Bureau of Professional Licensing in Michigan. A Certificate of Completion will be emailed to each participant that completes this virtual Implicit Bias Training.
