Creating structured, accessible content is the cornerstone of good design. In part 2 of this interactive workshop series, you'll learn basic steps that you can take to assure that your Microsoft Word documents meet accessibility standards for color contrast and table structure. Bring a course syllabus or other document to work on during the workshop. Participants will walk away with a usable Word Accessibility Checklist. Topics covered will include:
- Using the Word Accessibility Checker
- Ensuring your document meets color contrast standards
- How to use the WebAIM Contrast Checker tool
- Creating header rows and columns in Word tables
- How to create a Caption for your table that enhances your data story
