Full course description
In this course we will look at the characteristics and benefits of e-portfolios, examine some typical uses, design an e-portfolio assessment for our own courses or programs, and get to know Google Sites through experimentation with creating our own portfolio sites so we can be comfortable giving support to our students in the future.
Upon completion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Describe the various uses for portfolios, including academic, professional, and assessment activities.
- Compare and contrast the use of portfolios for formative and summative assessment.
- Design an e-portfolio assessment activity for use in their own courses.
- Given access to Google Sites, learners will be able to create, edit and share an e-portfolio consisting of text, file attachments, embedded documents and multimedia.
